The richly illustrated introduction, supplemented by videos, explains everything you need to know about handling, tuning, and plucking techniques on the kalimba. The musical section begins with practical exercises focusing on orientation, melody, and chord playing.

The main part of the book consists of 70 pieces specially arranged for this kalimba, in 5 difficulty levels. All pieces are notated in melodic form. In addition, accompaniment arrangements are provided for approximately 50 pieces, allowing the player to perform the piece with others or to accompany themselves by singing. The instrumental versions, in which melody and accompaniment are played together, present a challenge for experienced kalimba players.
