HOKEMA - Kalimba B11 - Electro - 432Hz special tuning
Tuning

Retail: 107€

Kalimbas are lamellophones that originated in Southern Africa, where they can be found in countless shapes and designs. Our Kalimba B11 'Melody' is meticulously handcrafted from solid American cherry (black cherry). The surfaces are treated and polished with vegetable oils and waxes.

For reasons of playability and sound, we have alternately mounted long and shorter tines. The six shorter tines have been bent so that their ends are at a higher level than those of the long tines, making them easily accessible to the thumbs. When playing notes from low to high, the five long tines are first plucked alternately with both thumbs from the center outwards – the right thumb starts on tine No. 6 – then the six short tines, also from the center outwards. The left thumb starts on tine No. 5.

The Kalimba B11 Electro model is equipped with a piezo pickup and a 6.35 mm jack socket. This allows direct sound pickup from the instrument, without an additional microphone.

Special tuning possible.
