Kalimbas are reed instruments originating in southern Africa, where they come in countless shapes and designs. Our Kalimba B15 is carefully handcrafted from solid American cherry (black cherry) wood in our workshop in Walsrode, Germany. The surfaces are treated and polished with plant-based oils and waxes. The 15 reeds are precisely tuned to the G major scale, allowing for the playing of a wide variety of songs. The Kalimba B15 is also well-suited for improvisation and intuitive playing, as well as for accompanying melodies with chords.
