Kalimbas are lamellophones that originated in Southern Africa, where they can be found in countless forms and designs. Our Kalimba B15 is meticulously handcrafted in Walsrode from solid American cherry (black cherry). The surfaces are treated and polished with vegetable oils and waxes. The 15 tines are precisely tuned to the G major scale, allowing for a variety of songs to be played. The Kalimba B15 is equally well-suited for improvising and intuitive playing, as well as for chordal accompaniment of melodies.
